Mercury-Free White Fillings

Cavities come in all shapes and sizes. For small to medium-sized cavities, Dr. Berger will most likely recommend mercury-free white fillings. If the decay has not done too much structural damage to the tooth, you may be able to correct the problem with an easy and affordable filling. Our office is metal-free, and our filling materials are FDA-approved for safety.

Dr. Berger will gently remove the areas of decay and fill the space with a composite or porcelain filling. The new filling material is colored to match your tooth, molded, and hardened into place, then neatly polished for a very natural finish. Once your filling is placed and any mild sensitivity subsides, your repaired tooth will be restored to its original strength and integrity.

White fillings are a great solution for patients who have localized decay that has not yet compromised the functionality of a tooth. Inlays or onlays are fillings recommended for deeper areas of decay. For large pockets where tooth structure has been affected, patients may need a crown placement or root canal.
