Same-Day Porcelain Teeth Crowns

For patients where time is a concern, Dr. Berger offers same-day porcelain teeth crowns using the innovative CEREC machine. CEREC provides a quality restoration comparable to that of handcrafted crowns, without the need for a second appointment.

Teeth crowns are the restorations used when decay or injury has caused a tooth to become weakened and at risk for further damage. Dr. Berger places porcelain crowns to fit over the top of teeth for an improved appearance and function. Some natural enamel is removed to make room for the crown, and the crown is firmly bonded, the remaining enamel is superbly protected.

So why not use CEREC for all crowns?  Dr. Berger believes that it is important to utilize human skill and artistry whenever possible. Although he prefers the handcrafted method, he also recognizes that great technology gives patients the freedom to choose.

If you're not sure which method you'd like, we can show you some before and after photos of patients who've had crown restorations using both CEREC and lab fabrication. In many cases, both types are virtually indistinguishable from natural enamel!

For time-sensitive patients, CEREC is also available for the creation of inlays, onlays, and porcelain veneers!
